The growth of cities makes it necessary to build more and more small-size flats. In popular districts in city centres, where space is usually at a premium, developers build narrow apartment blocks with a large number of small flats – for singles, couples without children, active people, living with the city beat. Such interiors can be comfortable, but they require clever and thoughtful solutions to optimally manage the space.
A popular way to gain space is to use sliding door systems, which are used to fill up recesses, closets and wardrobes. Especially aesthetes who want to hide as many things as possible, regaining space and order. It is also a solution for people working from home, who, thanks to the installation of sliding doors, can separate the office part from the living area. Hiding your desk behind a door is a perfect way to create an ergonomic space.
Aesthetically and comfortably
Sliding door systems are also suitable for bathrooms. They allow you to block off the space under the washbasin and thus mask pipes and elbows. Behind the sliding door you can hide a washing machine with a clothes basket, and cleaning products – in other words, unsightly places in the bathroom no longer need to be exposed. The wide selection of handles, designed in accordance with the latest interior trends, guarantees high functionality of the system.
Silence and comfort
The doors in our running systems are based on quiet and failure-free rollers and guides, ensuring that the doors you want to use at any given moment can be moved smoothly. The slides are distinguished by their perfect fit for different board thicknesses.
GTV sliding door systems are also characterised by their extreme resistance to very-high pressures - up to several-dozen kilograms. Their high-quality running systems ensure smooth movement and quiet operation. They are available in silver and the latest fashionable champagne colours.
Types of system
In our product range you will find frameless, framed, surface mounted, and passage systems.
With the frameless system, the supporting structure is based on the door filling, and the handles can be used as a holder for the 18-mm or 16-mm board fitting, directly onto which the door rollers are screwed. Instead of a board, you can specify glass bonded to a 12-mm board.
With the framed system, the construction of fittings for the installation of sliding doors is based on aluminium frames. In this line you can use 18-mm and 10-mm boards. With this structure you can install not only a furniture board, but also 4-mm-thick glass fixed onto gaskets and wedges, as well as systems combining the boards with glass.
With the surface roller system, the door is mounted on the closet body. This solution is intended for designs in which the doors do not contain visible aluminium profiles. The thickness of the furniture board is in the range 16-19 mm.
The passage system
The passage system is designed for closets with suspended doors, doors between rooms, and recesses. It is characterised by the top-running system. The door can be made of 16- to 28-mm-thick board, or by creating a supporting structure based on an aluminium frame, with either 4- or 10-mm filling.
